The closest airport to Agios Nikolaos is Heraklion International Airport, "Nikos Kazantzakis", just a 50-minute drive. This recently renovated airport is the second busiest airport in Greece and receives direct flights from major European airports, especially during the tourist season (May to October). Throughout the year the airport is regularly connected to Athens International Airport.

For the registered participants travelling on Sunday 25^th May and returning on Thursday 29^th May, shuttle service has been arranged from Heraklion airport to Agios Nikolaos and vice versa, free of charge.
